Good news

When I woke up this morning, the light was awfully bright.
In fact I can't remember what I did last night.
And then this voice spoke to me, the sound filled my room.
Was this a beer commercial, or was this the hand of doom?
And still this voice is talkin', it tells me wrong from right...
Tell me, am I dreamin', listening to this light?
Well the telephone was ringing and the TV was on...
I'm talkin' to God in my Fruit of the Looms...what the hell is goin' on?

So I got up out of bed, didn't even bother gettin' dressed.
And I was wondering if I sinned sometime, somewhere,
I knew the answer must be yes...
But I started for the kitchen to get a bite to eat,
And I could feel the earth rumblin', I could feel it shakin' beneath myfeet.
But I reached for the milk inside the refrigerator door.
And this voice is pounding inside my head, this voice I can't ignore...
But I grabbed a bowl from the cupboard and I grabbed the cereal,
and then I saw God's face on my box of Cheerios!
