Whispers in the Garden

Fangs like lies, smooth as silk
Spoke of gods in poisoned milk
Eve reached out with trembling hand
Bit the fruit, betrayed the land

Eyes went wide, the light grew dim
Heaven wept for death and sin
Serpent grinned, his task complete
But felt fire beneath his feet

On your belly, you shall crawl
Crushed by heel, despised by all
Curse was etched in burning bark
Angel guards with swords of spark

Blood now stains the garden’s gate
First of sins, first breath of hate
