Alone too many years to count
So feared by mortal man
I'd barter my eternity
To be as I was then

Condemned to stand immortal
A visage out of hell
That longs to speak to anyone
The stories I would tell

But all will flee before me
And refuse to understand

That even horror needs a friend
Or to touch a woman's hand

Despair now waits behind my eyes

As once I walked among you
