The Boundless Unknown

How long I've dreamed before gazing these skies
Unfound and alive, in the dark I lay paralyzed
Faint glow, forgotten and lost
Descending on my fragile bones

Engulfed in the light I am awoken
Yet, deep in the slumber
Like old wood, rotting for new life

Life is only a vision, and you are but a thought
Can't you feel when we began to grow
As the plague that we are?
In the flesh of this cage made of deception

Can't you see that we're made to know so much more?

Bring us back home, towards the brighter now
We're made to know
Bring us far from this cold, bring us back home
Far from this cold endless cave

Unable to breathe
I am hollow

Life, the confluence of needs
Death, as the air escapes me

Long lost sun
In this ocean of stars
