Zamba de La Cruz

Zamba of the Cross

Zamba de La Cruz

In a zamba, I want toEn una zamba yo quiero
Talk about the holy crossHablar de la santa cruz
Where you took my sinsDonde llevaste mis culpas
And paid it allY pagaste todo
For my salvationPor mi salvación

Dawn breaksDespunta la madrugada
And your love wakes me upY me despierta tu amor
While I hear the birds singMientras escucho los trinos
I prepare a bitter drinkApronto un amargo
And I hear your voiceY escucho tu voz

In the unexpected chaosEn el tumulto impensado
You're everywhereDe todas partes estás
And when I least expect itY cuando menos espero
Your presence comes downBaja tu presencia
And fills me with peaceY me llena de paz

There are many who don’t mention HimHay muchos que no lo nombran
In their songs at allEn Sus canciones jamás
It's because He gave me lifeEs que Él me dio la vida
And I depend on HimY de Él yo dependo
I’m gonna talk about HimDe Él voy a hablar

I sing of Jesus ChristYo canto de Jesucristo
And proclaim His peaceY proclamo Su paz
My contract is with heavenMi contrato es con el cielo
I gave Him my soulA Él di mi alma
My life and my homeMi vida y mi hogar

In the unexpected chaosEn el tumulto impensado
You're everywhereDe todas partes estás
You are omnipresentOmnipresente tú eres
All-powerfulTodopoderoso
