The river of darkness

I swim in the river of darkness cause it makes me feel light
and by it's shore i build a house
and i have stayed so long i can't tell
if it's heaven or it's hell

and when i really think about it
all i have to do is time
when the daylight comes you're there before me
with the shadows in your eyes

i wait in the hall of madness cause it makes me feel sane
and by the door i hear a voice

i had it right side up i had it square
and in my house i climb the stair
but when i'm alone at night i'm very scared
that you won't come to see me there
