Roman was my childhood
Soft clothes and clean lines
Pillars and mosaics
Baths and fine wines
Law and order
But then they marched away
Never to return
Betrayed and deserted
At the mercy of the wars.
Mercenaries of Vortigern
Fearless of laws.
Crossed the seas
Hundreds upon hundreds
To dispossess me
To rob my native land

They think we have become an easy prey

Murderers at the feast
