Faded Dreams

Though it tried to break me down
Yeah, I'm still here and I'm standing
Hard to believe at only 23
I'd be standing at a place where I could write in my dreams
But my pencil needed sharpening
Before the pages made a mess of me

Too far gone I've been away from home

I've been running on faded dreams

So now I'm walking with patience
