El que habita al abrigo del AltísimoHe who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Morará bajo la sombra del TodopoderosoWill abide under the shadow of the Almighty
Diré yo al SeñorI will say of the Lord
Eres mi refugio y mi fortaleza, mi Dios, en Él confíoHe is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in Him I trust

Porque Él te librará de la trampa del cazador y de la peste mortalFor He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence
Te cubrirá con sus plumasHe will cover you with His feathers
Y bajo sus alas confiarásAnd under His wings you will trust
Su verdad será tu escudo y baluarteHis truth will be your shield and buckler
No temerás el terror de la noche, ni la flecha que vuela de díaHe will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day
Ni la peste que acecha en la oscuridadNor the pestilence that stalks in darkness
Ni la muerte que destruye al mediodíaNor the death that destroys at noonday

Mil caerán a tu ladoA thousand may fall at your side
Y diez mil a tu derechaAnd ten thousand at your right hand
Pero a ti no te llegaráBut it will not come near you
Solo con tus ojos mirarásOnly with your eyes will you behold
Y verás la recompensa de los malvadosAnd see the reward of the wicked
Porque tú, oh Señor, eres mi refugioFor you, O Lord, are my refuge
En el Altísimo has hecho tu moradaIn the Most High you have made your dwelling place
Ningún mal te sucederá, ni plaga se acercará a tu tiendaNo evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your tent

Porque a sus ángeles dará órdenes sobre tiFor his angels will give him charge over you
Para que te guarden en todos tus caminosTo guard you in all your ways
Te llevarán en sus manosThey will bear you up in their hands
Para que no tropieces con piedra algunaSo that you will not dash your foot against a stone
Pisarás al león y a la víboraYou will tread on the lion and the cobra
Al león joven y a la serpiente pisotearásThe young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot
Porque en mí ha puesto su amorBecause he has set his love on me
Por eso lo libraréTherefore I will deliver him
Lo pondré en altoI will set him on high
Porque ha conocido mi nombreBecause I have known my name

Me invocará, y yo le responderéHe will call on me, and I will answer him
Estaré con él en la angustiaI will be with him in trouble
Lo libraré y lo honraréI will deliver him and honor him

Con larga vidaWith long life
Lo saciaré y le mostraré mi salvaciónI will satisfy him and show him my salvation
