Narcissism goading me today
Never finding perfection
Reflecting someone I'd rather be
A work on art on-going
My canvas about to peel
I'll face those consequences
They always said I'm so extreme
Is the truth I'm hiding
The veneer under my sheen

Chrysalis, my butterfly escaped
Life's killing jar withholding
The real me in such a state
Breaking down my defences
While sleeping beauty starts to wake
Why have I been hiding in a body that felt so fake?
Can you see my star?
Just remember me
