When She Loved Me

She came into my life with a heaven in her eyes
Like an angel in disguise
She was all I ever dreamed
Was I so foolish to believe that she would wait for me
Put her life aside for me
I was just too young to see

We shared the memorise
We lived our fantasies
The world was right when she made love to me
Yet all the while inside my heart I knew
Although I loved her
Their are things in life that just can't be
That one day she would set me free
When I knew she needed me

Time and time I think about the love we shared
And I wonder if she knew how much I really cared
For just a moment in my life I had it all it seemed
But now as far as I can see
She will always be a part of me
