Fantasy

The curtain falls, closes up my perceptions showing me a new,
never detected side of my feelings.
Allowing me to experience a deep harmony, like a deliverance,
I thought I would never find.

I've touched you-
one hundred times.
Courted you, held you and cared for you-
one thousand times.
In my fantasies, my dreams.
In these illusions, I've experienced all and feel,
the magic of love could last forever.
Forever you. Forever me.

I looked deep in your eyes and felt,
my wishes coming true.
My problems sounded so ridiculous
and my fears just swept away.
An emotion, never ending, never
and when we walk into the sunset, we will be one.
One thought, one way, one future.
Together in eternity.

But like one punch, the folly of my fantasy ends
with the punishment of pure reality.
And all that remains to me, is a feeling of hardness,
of resignation and of the certainty, it's being only a fantasy.
