I saw people helping people all the time

I find that people loving people was the norm

As I grew up
I saw people hurting people all the time
Because you were people hurting people in your prime
I thought that people hating people was the norm
Because you were people hating people during the long dark storm

Now I am old
I see people ignoring people all the time
Because we are people ignoring people in their prime
I find that people killing people is now the norm
Because we are now people killing people after the long dark storm
