The nights at home are extraordinary
In their simplicity and their calm
As happy as we could wish for this is

Why should we get involved
Why should we ever leave our home

Our home is our oasis in life

This world is a mortuary
In which we all are bound
By Choice or force or simply living

This race is a pointless ferry
A dangerous and lovely ride
