I See My Jesus

I see my Jesus
with love in His arms
the cross of my burdens
and bearing my scars

I see Him marching
with fire in His eyes
His heart set on Calv’ry
to purchase His bride

Our precious redeemer
beloved of the Father
has come to reclaim us
and call us His own

Our sin on His shoulders
He carried our burdens
a ransom for sinners
our Savior and King

I hear His last words
Love mixed with sorrow
He cried “It is finished!”
for us He was slain

I see His glory
Rise through the darkness
the Light of the World
the Lamb has prevailed
