Bridge to Sanity

Passing by through the corners of my mind
Revisiting all bad memories away
Hoping to just forget and leave behind
All the burden that I cannot carry on

I'm trying to convince myself
That all the worse has gone
And now the time has come to
Embrace all that I deserve

Just give me a stone, give me the sand
And a dose of courage too
And between drops of tears and sweat
I will build a fortress in my heart

Whispering, calling my strayed soul
Building a bridge to my sanity

Running through all the lines imposed on me
Hoping to be able to assign my own rules
The way ahead will be tortuous I know
