This course of unwanted events

How can you live with yourself tonight
As you know that you drove a knife
Through a child eye
No, your ends are not justified
As you know that you took a child's life

I fail to reason
I will not accept this
How could you do the damage that you have done
I fail to understand why you had to take a child's life
I will never reason this bloody event
