And bring inner peace to my heartE trazem paz interior pro meu coração

The struggle continues and you don't seeA luta continua e você não ver
Only believe in what suits you to appearSó acredita no que lhe convém aparecer
The flora is dying, the fauna is dwindlingA flora ta morrendo a fauna definhando

they drink donkey's milk and none goes to thievesbebem leite de jumenta e nenhum dá pra ladrão
Look around for who sings better than us,Procure por aí quem melhor que a gente canta,
who dances better than us, maracatu, xaxado, and baiãoquem melhor que a gente dança, maracatu xaxado e baião
Look in the world for a city with the beauty and brightness of the moonlight of my backlandsProcure no mundo uma cidade com a beleza e a claridade do luar do meu sertão
