Psalm 1 - Happy is the one who trusts in God

Happy is the one who trusts in God!

Happy is everyone who does not walk
According to the advice of the wicked
Who does not enter the path of the evildoers
Nor sit with the mockers
But finds pleasure in God's law
And meditates on it day and night

Happy is the one who trusts in God!

He is like a tree
Planted by streams of water
That yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither
In all that he does, he prospers

Happy is the one who trusts in God!

But the wicked are not so
They are like chaff that the wind drives away
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous
For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous
But the way of the wicked will perish

Happy is the one who trusts in God!
