Feast Upon The Illusory

I shall feast upon all that is false
As forever, upholding the illusion
Which I call myself

Of all that contains in itself a reward, meaning and purpose
What I was not taught
Transparent, self-explanatory and shattering

Wiping the smear off my face, the rotten stench of the fog I induced
To instill some sense of meaning – ever-threatened, just illusion
See the patterns beyond this, which cannot die
From where I come, to where I will go

Shattering mob of dreams, hopes and screams
Quicksand life, fantasies, drowning sweetness

Smear on my face
Succumbed to the fog I induced
A fragile sense of meaning
Ever-threatened, just illusion, just illusion
