Broken Voices

Forgiveness was never a chapter in this book.
Salvation was never a part of this fairytale. (Of this fairytale)
Restoration is a time that remains in the past.
Failure to hear these broken voices inside of our own head,
As our eyes try to reconnect with our minds,

The search for ourselves cease to be found.

This is the story that my life has come to know.
This is my place of refuge, this is my only home.
When will we learn that we can’t do this on our own.
when will we learn that we must fight through our struggles.

When will we learn, life is going down the drain.
And I just can’t seem to catch my breath.
Our lives are hanging by a thread.
But we manage to make it through with his grace.
When will we learn that we can’t do this on our own?

Acknowledge the faithful for they hold the answer to this life.
Forget the faithless for they hold nothing in return.
