The moonlight flickers faintly, the night is filled with clouds
かげんのつきがおぼろにゆれろ よるをつつもむらくも
Kagen no tsuki ga oboro ni yurero, yoru wo tsutsumu rakumo
A straw rope binds tightly, an extraordinary laugh
はりつけられたつおうがうひいなからめるひじょうのわら
Haritsukerareta tsuō ga uhiina karameru hijō no wara

Ah, if I firmly dwell in my smoldering heart even now
ああ いまもくすぶおもいむねにしかとやどらば
Ā, ima mo kusubu omoi mune ni shika to yadoraba

Gently like water, fiercely like flowers
みずのようにやさしく はなのようにはげしく
Mizu no yō ni yasashiku hana no yō ni hageshiku
Thrusting through with trembling fangs
ふるえるやいばでつらぬいて
Furueru yaiba de tsuranuite

さだめられたなみだをひとみのおくとじても
Sadamerareta namida wo hitomi no oku tojite mo
