Le ciel tourbillonnait comme un chaudron et le tonnerre au loin grondaitThe sky churned like a cauldron and the distant thunder roared
Et je savais que j'allais en prendre plein la gueuleAnd I knew that I was in for quite a storm

Un peu de pluie n'a jamais fait de mal à personne alors j'ai continuéA little rain never hurt no one so I kept pressing on

Un éclair a frappé un chêne alors que je sautais de mon véloLightning struck an oak tree as I leapt off my bike
Les sirènes se mettaient à hurler mais il n'y avait pas de bon endroit pour se cacherThe sirens started wailing but there was no good place to hide
Je savais sans l'ombre d'un doute, qu'un tornade était en train de se formerI knew without a doubt, there was a twister touching down
Alors je me suis glissé dans un caniveau pour attendre que ça passeSo I crawled into a culvert to wait it out

Le peu de courage qu'il me restait était presque partiThe little bit of courage I had left was almost gone

Et puis le cauchemar a commencé, c'est devenu assourdissantAnd then the nightmare started, it got deafeningly loud
Chaque fibre de moi criait mais je ne pouvais pas faire un bruitEverything fiber in me screamed out but I couldn’t make a sound
Le tourbillon d'un vortex, un carrousel violentThe whirling of a vortex, a violent carousel
On aurait dit qu'un train de marchandises m'emmenait en enferIt sounded like a freight train was dragging me to hell

Et c'était ma prière : Sauve-moi de ce terrible cauchemarAnd this was my prayer: Save me from this terrible nightmare

C'est là que j'ai vu ma famille les yeux fermés très fortThat was when I saw my family with my eyes shut real tight
Seraient-ils savoir combien je les aimais si c'était comme ça que je mourrais ?Would they know how much I loved them if this was how I died?
Non, j'ai juré que je ne serais pas tué par un monstre dans le ciel cette nuit-làNo, I vowed I’d not be murdered by a monster in the sky that night

Mais si je rentrais au paradis, au moins c'est là que j'appartiendraisBut if I went home to heaven, at least that’s where I'd belong

Un trampoline tordu pendait des lignes électriquesA twisted trampoline was hanging from the power lines
J'ai cligné des yeux pour retenir une larme car je me sentais chanceux d'être en vieI blinked a tear back 'cause I felt lucky to be alive
