Everything Went Black

I am alone in this world of grief,
A slave to my very own life.
Forced to live and reflect upon sadness,
And I was cursed with the conscious ability to remember all the painful years.

Your words can no longer reach me where I am,
Lost in a plague of broken memories,
The madness is driving me to insanity.
For in a single second you destroyed my entire world.

If this is what existence really is then I refuse to move from the shadows.
You have done this to me, you have stained my dreams with blood.
The endless wave of sadness and guilt was passed unto me,
and with this razor I propose to you one final goodbye.

Happiness lies somewhere far beyond the clouds,
A place where I am never destined to reach.
Always in hope of brighter days,
But given nothing more than pain
