Remains of the Day

After the day has burned away will I still believe?
After the night has begun will I fall asleep or will my eyes freeze open?
I have witnessed the inferno
I've seen the punishments
I've tasted wine and fire
I've suffered every spike
Melting like candle wax
I'm dripping through all the cracks
I've traveled through the layers and breathed in the smoke
I've traveled to the land of the dead, inhaled the heat and burned my lungs
