Jump The Gun

Another light in my eye shines brightly.
And I cringe from the glare;
did I really hear what I heard?
Just come and see, you must be kidding.
But it doesn't come a surprise for those who are used to it.
I'm not used to it.
Don't jump the gun, and start chasing a phantom.
Don't jump the gun, empty praise of an anthem.
Now that you're awake, look at what we've done now that you're awake.
A question mark, a realization...
That we're jumping the gun and we're pointing our fingers. All of our lives are at stake if you fight, you better pray you know what's right.
