I Am Where You Stand

Laughter in the other room, laughing at me
I look into the mirror
But my face my eyes cannot see
Holding her warm hand turns my heart cold
Life moves slowly when you're young
And hurries when you're old
Someone wrote a poem and signed my name
It wasn't even good still I am to blame
Everything I am is to God's shame

I am willing but this is weak
When I fall you look at me
I am where you stand

I am always so far from home
A long way to go
My legs are tired of holding me up
Selah I'll never know
I just want to finish, I want to pass on through
I want to wake up in your arms
But my dreams are hurting you
