Oh Señor, tú me conocesOh Lord you have know me
Cuando me levanto y cuando me sientoWhen I rise and when I sit down
Conoces cada pensamiento desde lejosYou know every though from a far
Y dondequiera que vaya, allí estás túAnd wherever I go there You are

Oh, ¿a dónde podría ir de tu espíritu?Oh where could I go from your spirit
¿O a dónde podría huir?Or where can I flee
Tu presencia está cerca, sé que estás aquíYour presence is near, I know You are here,
Sé que estás conmigoI know You're with me

Examíname, oh Dios, y conoce mi corazónSearch me, oh God, and know my heart,
Pruébame y conoce mis pensamientos ansiososTry me and know my anxious thoughts,
Y mira si hay en mí algún camino dolorosoAnd see if there be any hurtful way in me.
Y guíame en el camino eternoAnd lead me in the ever lasting way.

Si tomara las alas del albaIf I take the wings of the dawn,
Si habitara en lo más profundo del marIf I dwell in the deepest part of the sea
Aun allí me guiaríasEven there You will lead me
Allí me sostendrías cerca de TiThere You will hold me close to Thee.

Y al despertar, encuentro que aún estoy en tu manoAnd when I awake I find I am still in Your hand
Y si contara tus pensamientos hacia míAnd if I should count Your thoughts toward me
Superarían la arenaThey'd out number the sand.

Examíname, oh Dios, y conoce mi corazónSearch me, oh God, and know my heart,
Pruébame y conoce mis pensamientos ansiososTry me and know my anxious thoughts,
Y mira si hay en mí algún camino dolorosoAnd see if there be any hurtful way in me.
Y guíame en el camino eternoAnd lead me in the ever lasting way.

Te daré gracias porque soy temerosaI will give thanks to Thee for I am fearfully
Y maravillosamente hechoAnd wonderfully made.
Maravillosas son tus obrasWonderful are Thy works and
Y mi alma lo sabe muy bienMy soul knows it very well.

Aparte de Ti, no hay nada que pueda hacerApart from You there's nothing that I can do
Porque Tú eres la fuente y dador de vidaFor You are the source and giver of life,
Esto sé que es verdadThis I know is true.
Crea en mí un corazón limpio para que pueda estarCreate in me a clean heart so that I can be
Dispuesto a ceder y capaz de escucharWilling to yield and able to hear
Cada vez que Tú hablesWhenever You speak
