Money ruled - that's not surprising.
Exploitation and cruelty set their Empire's rise.
Black people seen as whites' property. Oppression throughout years of painful slavery.
The heritage of European colonialism
A continent destroyed by tribal antagonism.
Civil wars bringing starvation and diseases.
Independence only meant the end of an imposed peace.
Hostile peoples once forced to live side by side.
Now they're free (to fight and die). To end the chaos that the European power has made
A high price innocents are gonna pay.
Bloody ethnic wars with no end in sight.
As usual white hands are behind the genocide
The world watches it through guiltless eyes
