Hollywood Cats

Letzte Nacht rollte ich die Straße entlangRollin' down the highway last night
Hatte nichts zu tunI didn't have nothing to do
Sah eine Bar an der Ecke von SunsetSpotted a bar on the corner of Sunset
Da gab's rockige MelodienProved some rockin' tunes
Es waren ein paar Hollywood-Katzen, ohne SchuheIt was some Hollywood cats, without any shoes
Barfuß-Rockabillies, die wirklich den Blues rocktenBarefoot rockabillies, really boppin' the blues

Einige spielten GitarreSome were pickin' on guitars
Ein Mann schlug den BassOne man slappin' the bass
Die Kids tanzten an den Wänden und der DeckeKids were dancin' on the walls and the ceiling
Zerrten den Laden auseinanderTearin' up the place
Es waren ein paar Hollywood-Katzen, ohne SchuheIt was some Hollywood cats, without any shoes
Barfuß-Rockabillies, die wirklich den Blues rocktenBarefoot rockabillies really, boppin' the blues

Leute kamen von weit herFolks would come from miles around
Um barfuß zu tanzenTo dance without no shoes
Hinterwäldler-Stadt-Katzen, wunderschöne MädelsHillbilly city cats, a-beautiful chicks
Die ihren Blues wegrocktenRockin' away their blues
Es begann ganz unten an der EckeIt started way down on the corner
Verbreitete sich über das LandSpread all over the land

Bald rockten die barfüßigen Jungs im FernsehenSoon the barefoot boys were rockin' on TV
Rockabilly Band StandRockabilly Band Stand
