My Updated Epitaph

someday the blood will wash from my hands, but all these tears will never dry. crying out, "where did i go wrong?". you keep on telling me it will pass, but it's still ringing in my mind.
crying out, "where did i go wrong?". been cheated and mistreated. i've loved and lost. i've seen failure in too many eyes. and everyone has their own sad story, this time, my story's done. can i keep wishing it away? these memories can't erase my mistakes. where did i go wrong? ending up in the same place again, but all my tears will never dry. crying out, "where did i go wrong?". been reviled and defiled. i've cried and i've lied. seen my hero with a gun aimed between his eyes.
and everyone has their own sad story. this time, my story's done. for so long i've tried to stay above, for so long i've tried to stay ahead. seems like i won't find the way. (i'll never find the way).
