Somber Silt

I am of the land.
The rolling hills,
the somber silt,
which you saw
into the earth.
I will remain with you
Until you see my body
fade into the valley far below,
a place that I have come to know.
With the world spinning down
look around.
I stand with you.
You have not lost me.
I am the somber silt
in the land you till.
