Somethings Are Better Left Unsaid

I've seen this through so many times
I still don't know how to put it all back in my mind
I've had this burden almost involuntarily
with a weight that my back never had to bare
I was just a boy when you decided to quit
I was just a boy when you destroyed everything
How can you sleep at night knowing
that you are miles away from whom you promised to protect
We're looking for security in all these doubts I fear.
Make this last another lifetime pretending it's all ok
how could you be able to believe
that you could run away and life would go on?
