A Moment

In the sunrise, I gave it all up
It's just me and a moment
I’ll consciously disown it

It's a frame of mind, I've seen it before
Above a freckled smile
In a frosty storm

And with my youth
Will it be swept away?
This presentness
To be tied to a place

And all of these cords
Will they bend and fray?
When my face is kissed with an aging grey?

How can I know?
As the pink Sun kissed my face?
How will I know
When will I fall from grace?
When will I hit the brakes?

From north to south, I'll search around
To find that sacred place
I'll kiss the ground on seward's sound
In the spot old ashes lay
I'm shedding skin, becoming round
I'll find my hallowed space
