Lately I've been longing for heaven
Lately I've been wanting to go
To the place where tears are forgotten
To the land where living waters flow

Joy in his presence complete

Home-sick for heaven

I'm homesick but I haven't any home

In this world I've known earthly pleasures
But they only seem to last a little while
Even when I've gathered all my treasure
They only seem to bring a little smile

But they tell me there's a heavenly store house
Eyes that's never seen nor ears that's heard
All the things he has in store for those who love him
All his children who stand on his word
