I live in a small place, no pacing the hall
Radio and radiator I unplug the phone
Old friends sometimes call me
I write their numbers down
They aren't surprised when I don't
Call when I'm in town.
I guess I spend too, much time inside
Nobody's eyes on me, I only watch one soap opera
Well they can't catch me
Buses are crowded in the middle of the day,
I'd rather go alone to a matinee
