Parking Ticket

I park my car down the block,
take off my shoes and go for a walk
down to the beach.

All the dirt under my feet was all I ever needed in this life.
Now I've got this pile of parking tickets to pay up to the government
police.

Why is the sidewalk so hard?
Why are my feet so soft?
Does every step I take make me a little more tough?
