Run For Cover

We heard the roar of vengeance
Saw a flash of light
Pondering the stories of their clamor and their might
Came forth with a vengeance
Ready for the kill
Absolute destruction pressing closer still

We in turn stood silent
Weapon’s shining bright
All prepared for victory or death out in the night
Run for cover
Then here a scream attack
The war commenced again
Couple saw car, super car was capturing their men

Their feeble strike was failing
The battle near the end
Their leader cried again
Run for cover men
Run for cover
They had suffered greatly
We had not lost one
They would try once more we thought.
Before the morning sun

So patiently we waited
The sun began to grow
We had stopped them dead
We knew they would not show
They came to over take us
We would not give in
Holding on to freedom
Justified to win
