Do I Know?

Waiting for the last day to cash in your chips, like you knew somehow there'd be so many more than this.
When the clock stops it's over, however safely you've played the game. Forever. I want forever today. All this safety is killing me.
All this dancing around our hopes and dreams. It's obscene. Why do I have to see it all flash before my eyes to give up the pretense of coloring between the lines? To say what I think. To do what I feel.

For the myth of security or the myth of eternity? To live this day like it was my last. Do I know it's not?
