Lucifer rises upon the mountainLúcifer surgit super montem

And the light in the world is darkenedEt lux in mundo obscurata est

But the faithful cry out in the wildernessSed fideles clamant in deserto
Jesus Christ, the last hopeJesu Christe, spes ultima
The Savior of our soulsSalvator animarum nostrarum
Deliver us from the power of darkness!Libera nos a potestate tenebrarum!

Truth lies in the streetsVeritas in plateis iacet
And mercy flees from menEt misericordia ab hominibus fugit
The sacraments have been made ridiculousSacramenta ridicula sunt facta
And the Holy Name has been profanedEt nomen Sanctum profanatum est

The elect groan under the weight of evilElecti gemunt sub pondere malorum
Wicked spirits surround themSpiritus nequam eos circumdant
But their faith has not failedSed fides eorum non defecit
Nor is the love of the Crucified extinguishedNec amor Crucifixi exstinguitur

Jesus Christ, true lightJesu Christe, lumen verum
Let your grace shine in darknessIn tenebris fulgeat gratia tua
In you our hope is foundedIn te spes nostra fundatur
And nothing will separate us from youEt nihil nos separabit a te
