when the heart cries only god hearsכְּשֶׁהַלֵּב בּוֹכֶה רַק אֱלֹהִים שׁוֹמֵעַ
The pain rises from the soulהַכְּאֵב עוֹלֶה מִתּוֹךְ הַנְּשָׁמָה
A man falls before he sinksאָדָם נוֹפֵל לִפְנֵי שֶׁהוּא שׁוֹקֵעַ
A little prayer breaks the silenceבִּתְפִלָּה קְטַנָּה חוֹתֵךְ אֶת הַדְּמָמָה

Hear Israel, my God, you are all-powerfulשְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל אֱלֹהֵי אַתָּה הַכֹּל יָכוֹל
You gave me life, you gave me everythingנָתַתָּ לִי אֶת חַיַּי נָתַתָּ לִי הַכֹּל
Eyes tear heart cries quietlyבְּעֵינִי דָּמְעָה הַלֵּב בּוֹכֶה בְּשֶׁקֶט
And when the heart is silent the soul cries outוכשהלב שֶׁוֶּתֶק הַנְּשָׁמָה זוֹעֶקֶת

Hear Israel my God now I am aloneשְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל אֱלֹהֵי עַכְשָׁו אֲנִי לַבַּד
strengthen me my God do not be afraidחָזָק אוֹתִי אֱלֹהֵי עָשָׂה שֶׁלֹּא אֲפַחֵד
The pain is great and there is no way to escapeהַכְּאֵב גָּדוֹל וְאֵין לְאָן לִבְרֹחַ
make it end because I have no strength left in meעֲשֵׂה שֶׁיִּגָּמֵר כִּי לֹא נוֹתַר בִּי כֹּחַ

When the heart weeps time stands stillכְּשֶׁהַלֵּב בּוֹכֶה הַזְּמַן עוֹמֵד מַלְכַּת
the man sees his whole life suddenlyהָאָדָם רוֹאֶה אֵת כָּל חַיָּיו פִּתְאוֹם
to the unknown he does not want to goאֶל הַלֹּא נוֹדַע הוּא לֹא רוֹצֶה לָלֶכֶת
He calls out to his God on the brink of the abyssלאלוהיו קוֹרֵא עַל סַף תְּהוֹם
