Conocí a un hombre que era alcohólico, no importa cómo lo llames, es una enfermedad que engaña hasta la última gota, comenzó sutil en una fiesta, poco sabía él que un pequeño sorbo lo dejaría vagando por un camino oscuro, ¿olvidé mencionar que solo tenía siete años cuando la presión de sus compañeros lo dejó tambaleándose sin dirección? solo un pequeño sorbo se convirtió en un poco más, todos se reían porque decía que su cuerpo se estaba calentando, pero llegaría a amarlo, se convirtió en parte de él, no podía dormir sin él, pensaba que era su único amigo, comenzó a cambiarlo, nunca sería el mismo y no podía llenar el vacío con el licor que bebía, comenzó a buscar a Dios más tarde, unos veinte años después, había esperanza en el misericordioso Señor, no se dio cuenta de que el Señor estaba justo a su lado, con el corazón roto en cada momento que elegía vivir sin Él, pero había esperanza para él, un hombre roto en pecado, fue a la iglesia sintiendo que el sermón estaba escrito para él, invitó a Jesús a ser rey de su vida, transformado en ese mismo momento con el reino a la vista, un hijo de la luz dado una segunda oportunidad en la vida y sabía que era un milagro que estuviera vivo, nunca miró hacia atrás, ahora tiene cuarenta y tres años con una familia, un testimonio de la gracia del Señor y una historia realI knew a man who was an alcoholic no matter what you call it it's a disease that deceives to the last drop it started subtle at a party little did he know that a little sip would leave him drifting down a dark road did I forget to mention that he was only seven when peer pressure left him stumbling with no direction just a little sip turned into a little more everybody laughing cause he said his body is getting warm but he would grow to love it, it became a part of him he couldn't sleep without thought it was his only friend it started to change him he'd never be the same and he couldn't fill the void with the liquor he was drinking he started looking for God later some twenty odd years down the road there was hope in the merciful Lord he didn't realize the Lord was right beside him heart broken every moment that he chose to live without Him but there was hope for him a man broken in sin he went to church feeling like the sermon was written for him invited Jesus to be king of his life transformed that very moment with the kingdom in sight a child of light given a second chance at life and he knew it was a miracle that he was alive he never turned back now he's forty three with a family a testament of the Lord's grace and a true story

Ella era paciente, diligente, un pilar de fe, una poderosa guerrera de Dios, una santa inamovible luchando por muchos en un reino donde la batalla se gana, a veces no terminaba hasta el amanecer, aprendió desde joven a confiar en el todopoderoso, salvada radicalmente alrededor de sus veintitantos, transformada de una chica amante de su pecado, beber, fumar, bailar y dormir para empezar de nuevo, pero luego conoció a Cristo y todo fue diferente, el Omnisciente le dio una nueva vida que valía la pena vivir, tres hijos, sería la madre que nunca conoció y criar una familia en la verdad con raíces fuertes, con el tiempo siguió siendo la misma, levantarse temprano en la mañana, arrodillarse y orar, leer su Biblia tanto que se le desarmaba en las manos, así que mantuvo la cubierta con una banda elástica, las cosas continuaron y ¿no sabes que su hija tuvo una hija propia? y así es la vida, su nieta era el brillo en sus ojos, se había convertido en abuela con la fe nunca comprometida, hasta el día de hoy puedes verla en la iglesia en la última fila, la familia sentada a su lado, hay muchos a quienes ha afectado, yo soy solo uno de ellos, amo a Lucille, mi bisabuelaShe was patient diligent a pillar of faith a mighty warrior of God an immovable saint fighting for many in a realm where the battle is won at times it wasn't over till the crack of the dawn she learned young to put her trust in the almighty radically saved right around her mid twenties transformed from a girl loving her sin drink smoke dance and sleep start over again but then she met Christ and it was all different the Omniscient gave her new life worth living three children she would be the mom that she never knew and raise a family in truth with the strong roots as time passed she remained the same to rise early in the morning hit her knees and pray read her bible so much it fell apart in her hands so she kept the cover on with a rubber band things went on and wouldn't you know that her daughter had a daughter of her own and so life goes her granddaughter was the gleam in her eye she had become a grandmother with the faith never compromised to this day you can see in her in the church in the back row family seated next to her there are many she's affected I'm just one of them I love her Lucille my great grandmother
