Nameless End

I force myself to close my eyes
A declaration of blindness denied
What visions before me
Majestic yet daunting
Shadows of mountains in my mind
Grow bigger with each day I clime
The past looms before me

Where I've been is where I'll be
These visions before me
I take as my warning
I exist as the distance between the ground and the peak
Nameless is the end that I seek
Faceless, timeless, abstract, bodiless

Others exist as the choice between accept and resist
So others cannot exist
Meaningless, purposeless,
Thoughtless and opaque
Vapid humans, wretched spirits
Leave me to my distance
Leave me to my closed eyes.
