Sacred Ashes

Journey on, no time to ease the pain
Or wipe the blood clean from his blade
Ever on, goes this fallen knight
Hope was lost, so he took flight
Thunder crash, rain begins to fall
But he still can hear their call
A thousand voices in the night
To end his life!

Through the wind, and the fog
He will ride among the gods
And though many moons have passed
He will return at last
On the wings of the night

And the fires will burn bright
With the light of eternal life!

A simple task, so he had been told
The chalice' light can stop the horde
He must press on, must not fall
For if he's killed it will be doom to all
Onward, to the secret cache
Warded, by light's sacred ash
Power, it will aid the fight
To save his people from the night!
