Misery

I betray myself on the search for the truth
The sights of the doom I ignore the sights
Of the doom sleepless nights I cannot close
My eyes no way to salve my conscience
Cogitations keep me awake what have I done
What have I done? A scream of desperation
Rapt in self-pity a picture of desolation
Put me out of my misery I stand in front
Of an abyss I have a burden on my shoulders
