Just because i'm not a child
It doesn't mean i don't need a champion
The sanctuary of my soul defiled
As weakness sets in, one more is left undone

The weakening of morals and blurring truth
Values easier upheld in youth

It doesn't mean i don't get lost sometimes
The grievance can't be reconciled
It leaves the young boy's questions undefined

It's hard to find a guiding hand as strong
As ones you looked up to, but now you're all grown up and your heroes are gone

Where's the foundation gone? who gave them right to go so wrong?
Was i pretending all along? look to myself and carry on.

The waves are crashing around me
It scares me to this very day
Beliefs i held so dearly
Are slowly washing away

So now is the time
When paragons cannot be found
I'm on my own to find
The foundation falls to the ground
