I Don't Know You Anymore

I knew someone once, who turned me inside out
Made my heart feel whole, and made me smile
We danced in the sun, in the time we had won
From the world all around, fighting every day

Then i felt a change, in the connection made
The emotions they played, and i heard them louder
Later days they would show, armor wearing too thin
And doors closing too slow, to hideaway the pain

Now i see a face, looks just like you
I try to see through to where i once was
Give it one more try, turn back the tide
But i just don't know you anymore

How could you have changed?
Has it really been so long?
Or maybe i never knew you at all
There was faith and trust, between the two of us
But now it's been a while, and i don't know you anymore

There is someone who walks, and someone who talks
There is someone who looks just like you did
I feel not betrayal, nor disappointment
Just more of a loss, of someone so near

I was living a dream, and i didn't know
So now i am falling, into a thousand regrets
But i know that you re not, not the one that i loved
And i simply don't know you anymore
