When can I tell you that I waited…
That I needed the peace of someone
That I wanted to hold you close to me
Until at last you couldn't hold your breath?

But its far too cold to tell you this now
Soon the sun will come down on us again
"I am weary, I am numb. Will I ever heal?"
"No but the pain will fade… Lay still here now."

Down below the surface
