Refuge

Locked out and pushed aside. anger and hatred it's in theireyes.
left to drown in a sea of despair. nothing to believe in.
no one who cares. again and again they've been slapped in theface.
hope and dignity left for us to replace.

nothing to believe in. so much to fear. destitute and lonely yearafter
year. who'll provide the shelter? who'll provide the love?
blesses peace and grace sent from above. but still there arethose
who will never understand the benefits of compassion and lendinga
helping hand. so take what you have and give a little back.
give to them all that you lack.
