I'm back to where it all began
I'm no longer running from the past
There’s so much comfort in being here
Among old faces, familiar trees

Down the river, up the hills
Breathing in peace is my greatest thrill
Father’s presence, Mother’s lap
Feel the breeze laid on the grass

I'm back to where my life began
All my loss remains in the past
A peaceful love, a dream to live
Familiar faces and pink-white trees

Growing gardens by the woods
A distant, helpful neighborhood
Silent peace and mildness
My child sleeps safe upon my chest

When you take out of your life
All that wasn’t supposed to be there
Everything starts to flow

And you at last understand
There’s no quest to find a meaning for life
Your true self is finally known

I'm back to where we live as one
No more time for sad dark songs
Lesson learned, I shed one last tear
No more hate and no more fear

I'm back to where my soul belongs
Gathering treasures left undone
A heartful embrace, one tender kiss
A promise made, a life to keep
